I Want Out

The thought consumes me throughout the day and won't relent until I drift off to sleep.
Just when I think the struggle is over, I panic and resort to my comfortable, old ways.
You see, I’m not getting anything out of this relationship anymore.  I want out.

At first, you seemed like a good idea but now I know; you’re just no good.  I didn’t see this at the start because I was blinded by my need to fill the void.  My need to feel invisible.

Some cracks in your foundation have let the sun in, only slightly but enough to see there is life on the other side. There is life if I let you go.
Now that you’ve fulfilled my needs and have worn out your welcome, I must gather strength for the day I finally bid adieu to you and your bag full of cures.

But I'm not ready just yet.....you're still winning.

My god, what or who are you talking about? Blogging? Writing? A person? A job? A novel? What?!

I'm dying to know.

Hey Sheri,
Whatever it is you're talking about, that's how I've been feeling for a while now.
It's easier to stand on the outside and tell someone, if they want out, just get out. But when you're the one in there, you realize it takes strength and sometimes stupid courage and sometimes a miracle to get out. If that's what we really want.

LOL! I love you guys.

Ok, if you notice, there's a label on the post. If you click on that label, you'll see all my posts about this particular 'thing'.

Basically, it's about addiction.

Oh! Ok, now I get it.

Everyone has some kind of problem that they struggle with, whether it's an addiction or something else. What you have to remember is that beneath it all is YOU and YOU are lovely and worth loving. Love yourself.

By the way, are you watching Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on ABC. He's brilliant! I never watch ABC but he's irresistible.

Jai,
((HUGS))
thx for the lovely words.

I consider my struggle just a part of my journey in this life.
